House passes bill to block Obama Executive Amnesty 216-192, 11 Repubs. voted against, 4 Dems. voted for. Everyone knew vote was formality since won't pass Senate

8/1/14, "House Passes Bill to Block Obama's Planned Executive Amnesty," Breitbart, Matthew Boyle

"The House of Representatives voted Friday evening to pass a bill that blocks President Barack Obama from continuing or expanding executive amnesty via the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program or programs like it.

The bill passed 216 to 192, with 11 Republicans voting against it and 4 Democrats voting for it.

The Republicans who voted against are

Reps. Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL),
Jeff Denham (R-CA),
Cory Gardner (R-CO),
Adam Kinzinger (R-IL),
David Reichert (R-WA),
David Valadao (R-CA),
Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL),
Joe Heck (R-NV),
Fred Upton (R-MI),
Mark Amodei (R-NV), and
Mike Coffman (R-CO).

The Democrats who voted for it are

Reps. John Barrow (D-GA),
Nick Rahall (D-WV),
Mike McIntyre (D-NC), and
Collin Peterson (D-MN).

The vote caps a lengthy battle between conservatives and the House GOP leadership and marks a new point in the GOP’s efforts to fight the Democrats on immigration, rallying Republicans against the left heading into the midterm election season.

The floor debate on this bill and the previous one Friday evening were bloody fights between Republicans, who seem to have found their backbone against liberal immigration policies again, and Democrats, who are using this battle to push for a widespread amnesty via a comprehensive immigration reform bill.

At one point, Rep. Steve King (R-IA) noted that the sergeant-at-arms of the House of Representatives had to come down to the floor to restore order after Democrats loudly protested the effort by the Republican Party to block President Obama’s planned executive amnesty."

You know what is amazing....is that even with everyone watching on the internet - it came close to losing even though they knew it would fail in the Senate. I notice many of these creeps vote yes then the next time no - Mary Landrieu did it. If you check the records on numbers USA you will notice that many of them flip flop - like they take one for the team then switch back to try and fool us to try and keep their jobs! Thank God for the internet and Numbers USA who keeps track!"

Comment: The US is supposed to have a two party political system. The parties are supposed to represent opposing views. This is the only protection the people have from dictatorship. Things must move very slowly and be very messy. If you want things to "get done" fast, that's fine, simply open your own business using your own money. Or move to China. Things "get done" very quickly and easily there. People disappear, no muss no fuss. High speed rail trains crash and burn, bridges collapse, government officials quickly become billionaires. People like Haley Barbour want the US to be more like China, will tell you in all seriousness that both parties in the US should think the same way in order to "get things done." When he says "bipartisan" he doesn't mean two parties should get along, he means Republicans should behave like Democrats. Haley Barbour and the Bush crowd agree with Democrats on major issues so why don't they stop their decades of incessant hating and complaining and just be happy Democrats? Because they're only interested in destroying the Republican Party, keeping it destroyed, destroying the country, and electing Democrats.
