Despite 'hottest' headlines 'as Peru climate talks begin,' not a single month January-October 2014 ranked #1 in 'global land surface temperature' per NOAA

.
Climate child pimping continues with big photo of adorable young child selling the $1 billion a day CO2 scare industry at top of BBC article:

12/1/14, "UN climate talks begin as global temperatures break records," BBC, Matt McGrath

"The two weeks of discussions have started amid record-breaking global temperatures for the year to date.

According to the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (Noaa), the global average temperature

over land and ocean from January to October was the hottest since records began in 1880."...

=======================

Despite scary statements above and below that NOAA says first 10 months of calendar year 2014 were warmest in 130+ years, not a single month January-October 2014 ranked #1 in "global land surface temperature" per NOAA. Only one ranked #2, one month ranked #44.

The NCDC-NOAA report is titled October 2014, but at the top you can input each individual month. Then scroll down to "Temperature" subhead to find "global land surface temperature" rank. The narrative ranks sea surface and land surface temperatures separately, then ranks them together. The scary headlines seem to reference only the combination of the two added together.

I posted NOAA's rank for each month's "global land surface temperature" below:

11/30/14, "2014 Is on Track to Be the Hottest Year Ever on Record." takepart.com, Kristina Bravo

"NOAA says that the first 10 months of the calendar year were the warmest in more than 130 years. According to a new report by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, 2014 is shaping up to be the hottest since scientists began keeping records more than 130 years ago.

The combined global land and ocean average surface temperature from January to October was 1.22 degrees Fahrenheit warmer than the 20th-century average."...
