Mexico's workers are basically slaves. Minimum wage was 55 cents an hour when Vicente Fox left office in 2006. In 2016, Mexico minimum wage is 53 cents an hour

"On December 18, 2015, the National Commission on Minimum Wages ("Comisión Nacional de los Salarios Mínimos" or CONASAMI ) approved a general minimum wage increase of 4.2%, effective January 1, 2016.

The wage increase will raise the general minimum wage from $70.10 Mexican pesos per day (currently, approximately $4.08 USD) to $73.04 Mexican pesos per day (currently, approximately $4.25 USD)."...
