Gunfire at CIA station near US Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan-BBC

CIA in habit of thinking deadly enemies are friends.

9/25/11, "Afghan attack: Gunfire heard at Kabul 'CIA station'," BBC

"One source said: "The only thing we can confirm is they (the CIA) must have invited someone inside and he turned out to be an attacker. This is the only logical assumption."

The compound is located in the most secure part of Kabul - near the US embassy and Nato military bases....

"If it were up to me this study would be presented at Gen. Petraeus' confirmation hearing to head the CIA and aloud ''DENIED'' would be stated afterward. I can't recall a period of more than 3 weeks lately where NATO troops haven't been attacked by alleged Afghan soldiers or police. If that's not a sign that something is wrong with the basic strategy
