"
The number of Americans filing new claims for jobless benefits unexpectedly rose last week, suggesting the labor market is healing too slowly to make much of a dent in the unemployment rate.

Initial claims for state unemployment benefits rose 4,000 to a seasonally adjusted 372,000, the Labor Department said on Thursday. That was the highest level in five weeks....

The prior week's figure for initial claims was revised higher to 368,000 from the previously reported 366,000."...

"
And with continuing claims missing too, the real story continues to be the steep fall off in those on extended benefits and EUC, which declined by a total of 48K in the past week, and down by about half a million in the last few months, and lower by 1.3 million in the past year. Ed. note: Sad Reuters uses the word "healing" twice in the beginning. "Healing?" The US has been changed into a third world crony toilet. It will never be what it was. No middle class is utopia to the political class. We're quietly allowing ourselves to be herded into urban concentration camps. Someone comes to our door and says, you must come with us, and we utter not a word, just quietly go to our death.
