Peer reviewed study finds CO2 lags air and sea temperatures, 8 data sets, Jan. 1980-Dec. 2011. Juliet Eilperin, will you and your husband stand with the people or will you remain with all powerful government against the people?

"Abstract

"Using data series on atmospheric carbon dioxide and global temperatures we investigate the phase relation (leads/lags) between these for the period January 1980 to December 2011. Ice cores show atmospheric CO2 variations to lag behind atmospheric temperature changes on a century to millennium scale, but modern temperature is expected to lag changes in atmospheric CO2, as the atmospheric temperature increase since about 1975 generally is assumed to be caused by the modern increase in CO2. In our analysis we use eight well-known datasets:

1) globally averaged well-mixed marine boundary layer CO2 data,
2) HadCRUT3 surface air temperature data,
3) GISS surface air temperature data,
4) NCDC surface air temperature data,
5) HadSST2 sea surface data,
6) UAH lower troposphere temperature data series,
7) CDIAC data on release of anthropogene CO2, and
8) GWP data on volcanic eruptions.

Annual cycles are present in all datasets except 7) and 8), and to remove the influence of these we analyze 12-month averaged data. We find a high degree of co-variation between all data series except 7) and 8), but with changes in CO2 always lagging changes in temperature. The maximum positive correlation between CO2 and temperature is found for

CO2 lagging

11–12 months in relation to global sea surface temperature,

9.5–10 months to global surface air temperature, and

about 9 months to global lower troposphere temperature.

The correlation between changes in ocean temperatures and atmospheric CO2 is high, but do not explain all observed changes."

The Washington Post provides ostensible environmental news via Juliet Eilperin. Her view is the opposite of the scientific study above:

6/14/13, "As Obama moves forward on climate, he faces a tough political task," Washington Post, Juliet Eilperin

Ms. Eilperin unfortunately advocates via the Washington Post the US government position on the multi-trillion dollar catastrophic man caused global climate change industry. Ms. Eilperin is married to Center for American Progress Action Fund Senior fellow, Andrew Light, whose financial interests include "international climate and energy policy" and "regulatory policy." He has for 7 years been among those who direct spending of billions of US taxpayer dollars via NSF, stating he has

"participated on funding review panels at the National Science Foundation for seven years.

NSF gave out $7 billion taxpayer dollars in 2012, and will give out $6.9 billion in 2013.

"He (Light) is a frequent advisor to various agencies on environmental and technology policy, including

the State Department,
the Department of Energy,
the National Security Council,
the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and
the National Science Foundation."

Mr. Light is so influential that he was invited to testify before congress in defense of EPA grants to foreign entities:

9/11/12, "H.R. 4255, the Accountability in Grants Act of 2012," Center for American Progress

"I will offer evidence for how section 103 grants to foreign partners help to protect the health of Americans; fulfill our foreign policy objectives; ensure American competitiveness; and deliver on our global obligations for solving global environmental problems."...

========================

The EPA has given over $100 million US tax dollars to foreign entities since 2000:

9/11/12, "Since 2000, the Environmental Protection Agency has awarded grants to foreign recipients, including foreign governments, universities, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), totaling over $100 million."

Per the Center for American Progress Action Fund:

"Andrew Light, Ph.D., is a Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress specializing in international climate and science policy and a Professor at George Mason University where he is director of the Center for Global Ethics. He leads American Progress’s work on international climate and energy issues, including efforts involving the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Major Economies Forum, the Clean Energy Ministerial, the Climate and Clean Air Coalition, and other bilateral processes."...

Ed. note: The peer reviewed scientific article at the top says CO2 lags temperature. The whole idea of man-caused global warming or man caused climate change is based on the reverse--that CO2 precedes and causes temperature increases. Even without that study, scientific data says US CO2 has plunged over many years, that other countries' CO2 has increased, especially China's, but that global temperatures haven't risen in many years. All the opposite of what advocates said would happen. Even if CO2 terror existed, Americans aren't contributing to it and can't "do" anything about it. If the US gave its last dime to the UN and committed mass suicide, it still wouldn't stop man caused global warming if it existed. Nevertheless, Ms. Eilperin continues to tell the world man-caused global warming exists, that California billionaires have more to say about it than others, and that Obama is on the verge of fixing it via another onslaught of executive actions against Americans already in an endless depression. The Washington Post gives the appearance of facilitating a business relationship if not a genocidal fantasy by allowing Ms. Eilperin to write or report on "the environment," meaning man-caused CO2 terror.
