GOP happy their beloved ObamaCare is in the clear, now they're bubbling around town as if nothing had happened with "solutions" like a ridiculous "conservative health plan" put out by the establishment and endorsed by the biggest rat in the Beltway swamp

.
10/11/13, Who cares about a "conservative health bill"? This "conservative health bill" insult was presented on Mark Levin's show by an apparently establishment-approved congressman named Scalise. The GOP establishment is so happy ObamaCare's in the clear now, they can cash in with their K St. pals and finally be rid of anxious voters, especially the ones who gave the House its big majority in Nov. 2010 for the single purpose of empowering it to defund ObamaCare. To the GOP, nothing has happened, move along. The "conservative" establishment thinks rubes can be made to forget the GOP House refused to do its constitutional duty. ObamaCare is currently illegal. The Supreme Court said it can only exist as a tax. The House has never voted to enact ObamaCare as a tax. Nor has Mr. Boehner ever allowed a standalone ObamaCare defunding measure to come to the floor of the House. I clicked on the link for the 'plan' on Mr. Levin's twitter page, and lo and behold the first name listed approving the "plan" was one of the radical left's best friends in the Beltway swamp, Grover Norquist. The word "Solutions" appears at the top of a sidebar on the "plan's" website. Yes, we've heard that word before from the GOP establishment. That'll do the trick, put out a bunch of "solution" papers. The "solution" for the US is the two party system. Right now it has only one functioning party.

10/2/13,Obamacare can be defunded without Senate approval, Examiner, Christopher Collins

"Dr. Harold Pease, an expert on the United States Constitution, stated that the authority in dealing with Obamacare funding belongs to the U.S. House, not the U.S. Senate and that the House is doing this all wrong.

Pease said, “Everything hinged upon funding which was given exclusively to the House of Representatives, the only power that they alone had.”...

Pease said, “House opposition to funding Obamacare would have been far more powerful if made a “stand alone” bill not attached to general funding, but it is not....

Pease went on to say, “All bills for raising revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills. To fund anything, in this case Obamacare, first approval is required by the House of Representatives.”

“If that does not happen taxpayer money cannot be spent."...

"Because Congress doesn’t have the ability to mandate, it must, to fund Obama-care, rely on its power to tax. Therefore, the mechanism that funds Obama-care is a tax, said Atkinson....

The Senate and the President can vote yes or no and if the vote is no, then the Obamacare bill can sit in the House with no funding.”

GOP 'leadership' likes ObamaCare, has never had any intention of defunding or repealing it. They even put an ObamaCare defunding measure in the GOP controlled House Appropriations Committee where they made sure it was "deadlocked" for an indefinite period:
.
9/29/11, "Draft spending bill would defund Obama healthcare law," The Hill, Sam Baker

"House Republicans released a draft spending bill Thursday that would cut off funding for many parts of the healthcare reform law, though the bill remains deadlocked in the Appropriations Committee."...

Two days after Obama's re-election John Boehner enthused that ObamaCare was "the law of the land" simply due to Obama's re-election. ObamaCare isn't the law of the land, isn't legal to this day. Mr. Boehner has failed in his constitutional duty to hold a vote in the House up or down on ObamaCare as a tax:

11/8/13, "John Boehner: ‘Obamacare is the law of the land’," Politico, David Nather

"House Speaker John Boehner made it official Thursday: Obamacare isn’t going anywhere. In an interview with ABC News, Boehner seemed to suggest the election ended any efforts to wipe out the whole law. When “World News” anchor Diane Sawyer asked if there would be any more votes to repeal the law, Boehner said “the election changes that” and “Obamacare is the law of the land.”"

2/20/13, "As Country Club Republicans Link Up With The Democratic Ruling Class, Millions Of Voters Are Orphaned," Angelo Codevilla, Forbes
.
"Increasingly the top people in government, corporations, and the media collude and demand submission as did the royal courts of old."...

Comment: I'm a regular Mark Levin listener. I tuned in after the 8:30ET pm break Thursday night in time to hear congressman Scalise talking about a "conservative health plan." Scalise chirped approximately, oh we have here right on top that we want to repeal ObamaCare. I turned the radio off and didn't listen to the rest of the show. Mr. Levin is well aware the House has never planned to take actions available to it to stop ObamaCare. So I was surprised to hear this "plan" being presented on his show by a member of the House of Representatives.
